Southern Sudan should contruct if oil revenues is utilise expenditurely


Dear All,
Many countries are capable to manage themselves and build their nations with low capital and limit resources compare to Southern Sudan with this huge revenues, if the infact nation consider factors of economy to take its course I think the country won't be known for corruptions and high standard of living like in Juba which is known as the most second expensive city over the planet under Tokoyo--------------------------------------------------------

Dec 14, 2006 (ABUJA) — Sudan’s oil minister said Thursday that White Nile Ltd’s (WNL.LN) oil exploration license in the South of the country is "illegal."
The statement underpins the fact that the central government’s position remains unchanged a year and a half after an autonomous authority in the South awarded the oil company a license on an area previously controlled by Total SA (TOT).

Dec 10, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Southern Sudan Government share in oil revenues for the month of October 2006 stands at 73. 5 million US dollars including 43.2 million US dollars in oil export revenues and 30.3 million US dollars from local sale of petroleum products while the current expenditure for the same month stands at 5.45 million dollars.

Dec 5, 2006 (HOUSTON) — The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will find it difficult to restrain production if it accepts fast-growing Angola and Sudan into the cartel, BP PLC (BP) Deputy Chief Economist Christof Ruhl said Tuesday.

Dec 1, 2006 (LONDON) — White Nile, the Aim-listed oil explorer , has raised £12m to finance an appraisal drilling programme in Sudan, in spite of a dispute over the area with Total of France.

Nov 30, 2006 (JOHANNESBURG) — Southern Sudan would channel its oil revenue into agriculture and infrastructure development, a top priority it faces after emerging from prolonged civil war, Sudanese officials said here on Thursday.

Nov 30, 2006 (CAIRO) — Sudan’s Oil Minister Awad Ahmed al-Jaz said Thursday that the results of tenders for three oil blocks are expected to be announced next year.
"We’ve had many small companies that have submitted applications for the blocks," he told Dow Jones Newswires on the sidelines of an energy conference in the Egyptian capital.

Nov 30, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Sudan is considering joining the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries pending approval from President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, an oil ministry official told Reuters on Thursday.
"The application for joining OPEC is in front of the president," said Mohamed Siddig, a spokesman from the Sudanese oil ministry in Khartoum.
Sudan pumps around 330,000 barrels per day of crude.

Nov 29, 2006 (LONDON) — White Nile Limited said it has raised 12 mln stg through placing of 12 mln new shares at 1 stg per share to fund the drilling and development of its Block Ba oil concession area in Southern Sudan.
The company said it has secured a Romanian rig to start drilling three exploration wells at Muglad basin area of Block Ba during the dry season, with the first exploration well targeted for the first-quarter of 2007.
